How we came to be...
Raised under strict religious dogma that I could not successfully follow no matter how hard I tried, I decided to leave the church of my youth. That decision immediately led to an acute uncertainty about everything in my life.
Depression hit as the constant loop that played in my head was one message:
You left the church – you left the Lord – so He has left you.
It took many years before I was able to find a community who did not subscribe to the tenets of religion but instead focused on relationship with God.

This community reminded me of Psalm 86:15
"But Lord, your nurturing love is tender and gentle. You are slow to get angry yet swift to show your faithful love. You are full of abounding grace and truth."
